Fire destroys Lexington home, firefighter injured

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fire destroys a Lexington home and injures a firefighter Sunday night.

The fire happened on Greenway Court. Firefighters believe the homeowner called in and said something was on fire and then hung up. The home is a total loss. Firefighters say another home was damaged in the fire. No one living in the home was injured. But, a firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
