1 Man Killed in Wreck on Interstate 65 at Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) – A south-central Kentucky man has died after his van went into the path of a tractor-trailer truck on Interstate 65 at Bowling Green.
Kentucky State Police said the truck turned over, spilling a trailer loaded with corn, and the southbound lanes were closed for five hours while the collision was investigated Thursday.
The man who was killed was identified as 35-year-old Steaven May of Morgantown. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Daily News in Bowling Green reported that May’s van careened down a steep embankment next to the on-ramp and into the tractor-trailer’s path. The truck driver wasn’t injured.
Police said in a news release that the wreck happened shortly after 11 a.m.
