1 killed in fatal crash on Interstate 65
WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. (AP) — A Kentucky man has been killed and his passenger injured after his SUV struck a parked semi-truck on Interstate 65 near White House, Tennessee.
WTVF-TV in Nashville reported (http://bit.ly/1wEdotr ) that 21-year-old Owen D. Paul of Bowling Green, Kentucky died in the crash at about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Paul was driving a Honda CRX SUV along the interstate when he lost control and struck the back of a tractor trailer parked on the on ramp.
His passenger, 21-year-old Brianna Pearson of Bowling Green, was injured and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The driver of the tractor trailer 52-year-old John Davis of Huntsville, Alabama, was not hurt.
No charges were filed.
Interstate traffic was not affected, but the exit ramp was blocked until 5:30 a.m.
