Grand Prize Recipe Winner:
Hot Cha Cha Chocolate Chili con Cinnamon
2 cups diced onion (about 1 large)
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 1/4 pounds ground Laura’s Lean Beef
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoons ancho chile powder
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1//4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 (15-ounce) cans no salt added pinto beans, rinsed and drained
2 (14.5-ounce) cans diced tomatoes, un-drained
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1 (14-ounce) can fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
2 chipotle chilies, minced and seeded
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Coat pan with canola cooking spray. Add onion, bell peppers, garlic, and beef to pan; saute 8 minutes or until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Add sugar and next 11 ingredients (through chipotle) to pan, stirring to blend; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Add chocolate, stirring to melt. Makes 8 X 1 1/4 cups chili Delicious! Spicy!
2 Lbs of Laura’s Lean Beef
1 medium red onion diced.
1 yellow bell pepper diced.
1 green bell pepper diced.
1 cup coffee (brewed strong)
1/4 cup beef broth
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbs chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 can of dark red kidney beans drained.
2 cans of light red kidney beans drained.
3 cans of chili beans drained.
2 cans of sun dried tomatoes drained.
Cook Laura’s Lean Beef till done, stir in dry spices, onion, and peppers allow to simmer for about 10mins. Stir in coffee allow to simmer for about 5mins. Add canned beans and sun-dried tomatoes.
Serve with shredded cheese, diced red onion, sour cream, and cornbread flapjacks.
Brown Laura’s ground beef 2 lbs with a little olive oil and chopped onion.season with salt,pepper,and Worcestershire sauce.add two 15 oz cans bushes mild chili beans,1 15 oz can chopped chili tomatoes,3 15 oz cans tomato sauce.one small pkg whole mushrooms.season with 2 teas sugar 1/2 teas smoked paprika ,1tbls chili powder,1/2 teas cumin,1teas each garlic and onion powder.cover and simmer all for about 20 minutes stir a couple times while simmering.enjoy

2 lbs light red kidney beans
2 lb Laura’s Lean Beef
2 cans tomato paste
1 large onion chopped
1/2 c chopped sweet peppers
1/2 can pumpkin puree
3 large tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp Italian seasonings
2 tbl mexine chili powder
1 tsp cinnamon
5 cups water
3 tbl minced garlic
1 can chili hot beans
2 tbl sugar
Brown LLB with onions and sweet peppers; drain and add garlic, salt pepper chili powder Italian seasonings and cinnamon. Add tomato paste and chopped tomatoes; simmer 1/2 hour; add pumpkin puree and beans, Add sugar and simmer an additional 15 minutes.
