Meteorologist Elise Dolinar joined the weather team in October 2016. She moved to Lexington after spending three years in Lima, Ohio as the Morning Meteorologist for the local NBC station.
Elise is a 2013 graduate of Ohio University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. She prepared for a career in broadcast meteorology by acquiring summer internships in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2011, Elise interned at WEWS and in 2012 at WKYC. She forecasted for WOUB in Athens Ohio for three years and for Scalia Laboratory for Atmospheric Analysis for four years while attending OU. Elise has been a member of the American Meteorological Society since 2009 and a member of the National Weather Association since 2010.
Elise is originally from near Cleveland, Ohio and loves to get back home as much as possible to spend time with friends and family. Elise enjoys being outside especially in the fall. She likes to cook, play volleyball, watch movies, and play board games. Elise loves trivia, Halloween, and taking pictures, even though she is not an expert photographer.
