FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Also known as Salt Lick Road, KY 989 near Glen Springs in Lewis County will close for two days next week as crews repair the pavement.
Starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10 and going through Wednesday afternoon, the road will be closed close to five miles south of the AA Highway at milepoint 7.65 between Toller Branch Road and Cypress Lane three tenths of a mile north of Glen Springs.
KY 989 will be closed day and night during the pavement repairs. Drivers can detour using the AA Highway, or KY 9, KY 57, KY 1237 or other routes through Burtonville.
Weather conditions could change the road work schedules. Drivers should follow all warning signs, slow down in the work area and be aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
