CAMPTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The City of Campton is under a boil water advisory following an issue at the water treatment plant.
According to a post on the City of Campton Waterworks Facebook page, a failure with the raw water pumps at the lake has caused the plant to be unable to produce and pump water.
This means that water stored throughout the distribution system could be depleted. No water or low pressure is anticipated to affect residents across the county.
The city’s waterworks page urges customers to conserve as much as possible due to repairs possibly lasting until later this evening.
A boil water advisory was put into place until further notice.
