Fire crews in Lawrenceburg fight storage unit fire


LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighters in Lawrenceburg worked quickly to extinguish a fire early Sunday morning.

According to a post on the Lawrenceburg Fire and Rescue Facebook page, units responded to a reported structure fire on Hilltop Drive around 2:34 a.m. on July 25. Once on the scene, crews found a working fire in a large storage unit building with heavy smoke.

Responders used a quick supply line and forcible entry tactics to knock down the fire. Crews then forced entry into numerous storage units to make sure the fire had not spread.

Actual fire damage was kept to a minimum, according to the post.

The Lawrenceburg Fire Department REHAB team came to the scene to help firefighters stay hydrated and safe.
