GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Saturday morning, Fourth of July festivities kicked off in the city of Georgetown with its own Fourth of July parade. Hundreds scouted out the perfect spot to watch and wave during the Georgetown Scott County Independence Day parade. The people there were able to enjoy a sense of normalcy following the pandemic. In addition, they were also able to celebrate the birth of our nation.
“You can hug your family again. You know you can go up and hug your wife or your mother in law or your father in law someone that you couldn’t see for a while because of the pandemic you couldn’t get out now you can,” explains Rick Hackett, a parade goer.
