Sixth grader donates to Kentucky COVID-19 relief


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Governor Andy Beshear is sharing a special message from a young Kentuckian.

Xavier Wolsing is a 6th grader from Jessie Clark Middle School in Lexington. He wrote a letter to Governor Beshear thanking him for his daily briefings, and his steps to protect Kentuckians. But he also took one step of his own.

Wolsing sent $19 along with his letter to the Governor with a sticky note that reads “for COVID relief.”

The Governor shared the letter on social media saying, “I know we’ll get through this because love always wins over hate and our people are full of love. Thank you Xavier for your kindness and compassion. You are making a difference.”
