Lexington Police investigating assault, shots fired into air

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police are investigating after someone reportedly fired a gun during a fight Friday night on Dakota Street.

It happened around 7 p.m. near Indi’s Fast Food.

Police say two men got into a fist fight, sending one man to the hospital with minor injuries then someone else walked outside and fired a gun into the air.

Police say as far as they know those bullets didn’t hurt anyone, but they’re still investigating the shots and the assault.
