New Fayette COVID cases climb back above 200

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County’s new coronavirus cases climbed back above 200 Tuesday, as test reporting caught back up with normal weekend delays.

According to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s morning report Wednesday, the county confirmed 213 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the county’s total to 25,992. That followed three days of less than 200 new cases.

The county also reported one additional death, bringing the number of people lost to virus-related causes at 168.
