MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WTVQ) – During this difficult year, Middlesboro Independent Schools decided to give back to its students this holiday season by giving out food.
Through donations from the community and with help from a lot of volunteers, 1,400 holiday-themed food boxes, each with ten days worth of food, were put together for distribution, according to the school district.
Any student 18 and under in Bell County is eligible to receive a food box.
The food is being distributed at Middlesboro High School through Thursday, Dec. 17.
The food bank will be open Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., according to the school.
Anyone who can’t make it to the food bank in-person can call and have the food delivered to their address on Friday within the Middlesboro city limits, according to the superintendent.
