LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell closed out his successful re-elected bid with $10.6 million in the bank, his campaign disclosed Friday.
McConnell received 57.8 percent of the vote in a hard-fought and sometimes bitter campaign against Democrat Amy McGrath. He raised $66 million during the campaign period.
Meanwhile, Amy McGrath’s filing revealed she spent nearly $90 million and received 38.2% of the vote.
McConnell is about to start a seventh term.
