Man jailed for taking shot at deputy, KSP says


FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 28-year-old Maysville man is jailed on multiple charges after taking a shot at a deputy and several other people, the Kentucky State Police said.

According to the KSP, troopers received a call for assistance with a domestic dispute. Prior to troopers arriving at the residence, a Fleming County deputy had made contact with Jessie Pollitt, of Maysville.

Pollitt fired a weapon at the deputy as well as other people in the area, according to the KSP, but nobody was injured.

Pollitt was charged with Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) No Visible Injury, Terroristic Threatening (8 Counts), Wanton Endangerment (8 Counts), and Resisting Arrest.

This incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead.
