According to the coroner, Newberry’s girlfriend talked to him on the phone Sunday, the last anyone had heard from him.

The coroner doesn’t suspect foul play in Newberry’s death, but isn’t sure yet how he ended up in the lake.

According to his obituary, his funeral is scheduled for Tuesday.
