Man, woman charged with trafficking after search of Georgetown home

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A search leads to the seizure of an ounce of cocaine and pills

and the arrest of two people on drug trafficking charges.

According to Georgetown Police, 40-year-old Jason Reed and 35-year-old Eric Morrison were charged following a search of a home in the 100 block of Santa Barbara Drive. Detectives say they seized approximately 31 grams of suspected cocaine and quantities of oxycodone, hydrocodone and Lortab pills.

Reed is charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Cocaine); Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Opiates); Trafficking in Controlled Substance within 1000 Feet of a School; Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container 1st; Drug Paraphernalia – Deliver/ Manufacture; Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess; Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree – Hallucinogen.

Morrison is charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Cocaine); Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Opiates); Possession of Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree – Hallucinogen; Trafficking Controlled Substance Within 1,000 Feet of a School; Possession of Marijuana; Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container 1st; Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess; Drug Paraphernalia – Deliver / Manufacture.

Monday morning, both remained in the Scott County Detention Center.
