SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will conduct a public hearing in November on a request by the Shelby County Industrial and Development Foundation to allow the sale of alcohol by the drink at the Guist Creek Lake Marina restaurant, 11990 Boat Dock Road, Shelbyville.
The Foundation plans to renovate portions of the marina and seeks a new restaurant vendor to operate an upscale grill-style restaurant.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife owns the lake. The Foundation, which operates the marina under a contract with the department, seeks departmental approval to allow the sale of wine and beer to dine-in patrons during normal restaurant hours.
The public comment period for this request is Oct. 20-Nov. 18, 2020.

Adjacent property owners are being notified in writing about this request.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife will conduct a public hearing on the request at 6 p.m., Nov. 16, at the Shelby County UK Cooperative Extension Office, 1117 Frankfort Road.
A drive-in meeting format will be used due to current public health guidelines.
Attendees will remain in their vehicles, but will be provided with printed materials and may listen to an on-site AM radio broadcast of information and instructions on how to submit a comment or question.
