LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington resident Barbara Greenlee was so certain she wasn’t going to win, she started doing something else as the drawing for the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway was about to happen just before 6:30 p.m. last Thursday on WTVQ ABC 36 News.

Besides, she’d ever won anything before and the donations she makes each year to St. Jude and other charities are to help out, not for a reward.

So when the 82-year-old got a phone call the next day, she thought it was’t real.

According to Greenlee, she’s still in shock over her big win. She still can’t believe she won and doesn’t know what her next move will be.

“I was just sitting there, and I said oh, because I still didn’t believe it until I got a couple calls.  When they called me, and I saw the results of it, and I said ‘oh I did didn’t I,’ I just won a home and it’s something I never done before is win anything but this is wonderful,” Greenlee said as she toured the home off Polo Parkway for the first time.

Doe in partnership with WTVQ ABC 36 News, the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway this year, raised $650,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
