LEXIGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s been two moths since he recovered from COVID-19.
But Thomas Cartwright hasn’t forgotten.
Cartwright, a Vietnam veteran, showed up at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Centers this week with plaques to say thank you to the nurses and staff who helped him recovered earlier this year.
He was the first coronavirus patient at the center and was discharged June 3. He presented the plaques to the nurses in the ICU units at 2-South and 6-South, “to thank them for the great care he received at the Lexington VA HCS.”
