WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two 30-year-old Winchester residents are arrested for their roles in the abuse of a 5-year-old boy, according to police and arrest records.
Marquis Robinson and Cassie Crowe were arrested after they brought Robinson’s son to the Clark Regional Medical Center emergency room Wednesday afternoon.
The child had a broken arm that had not been treated since it apparently happened Sunday, was dehydrated and malnourished and was suffering from some older injuries, according to a police report filed by officers.
According to the report, Robinson admitted to beating the child with a switch Sunday for misbehaving. Crowe, who watched the child while Robinson was at work, admitted to letting it happen and not doing anything to get treatment for the boy, according to the report.
“Robinson was punishing his son for bad behavior including urinating on himself and waking Robinson up in the night,” the report said.
According to the police report, the child was taken to the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
