|LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The National Horse Show will return this fall to the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park this fall, organizers announced Wednesday.
Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, event organizers have been working tirelessly to devise a plan that not only provides optimal safety for exhibitors, but also top equestrian competition for the event Oct. 23-Nov. 1.
With the full support of the staff of the Kentucky Horse Park, the National Horse Show Board of Directors made the important decision to stay at their home venue and have developed comprehensive safety protocols with the United States Equestrian Federation to protect all horse show participants and staff, the board announced in a statement.
|“I would like to commend all of the individuals who have worked tirelessly in recent months with the National Horse Show, to help us come to a decision that is in the best interest of our event,” said Jennifer Burger, president of the National Horse Show. “I have very much valued the input of my fellow indoor horse show presidents, Susie Webb (PNHS) and Vicki Lowell (WIHS), for their efforts to make this year’s indoor circuit the safest it can be for our riders, and I wish their events the very best as we all move forward during this unprecedented time.”|
