LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A July 4 domestic incident lands a Laurel County man in jail for stabbing his estranged wife.
According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, 50-year-old Timothy Leach, of Corin, is charged with second-degree assault, second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree terroristic threatening following the incident on Laurel Whitley Road.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence on a stabbing call and when they arrived, they found Leach forced his way into the residence of his estranged wife, kicked a door open inside and cut the victim with a knife. the sheriff said in a Facebook post.
Leach fled but was arrested at his residence in downtown Corbin.
Assisting were Lt. Chris Edwards, Deputy Allen Turner and several members of the Corbin Police Department.
