LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man wanted in another state tries to run from state troopers, but ends up surrendering in Fayette County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, 30-year-old Odell Wright was spotted driving recklessly in a Chrysler P.T. Cruiser at about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday northbound on I-75 at mile marker 87 on the south side of Richmond in Madison County.
But when a trooper tried to pull him over, Wright took off, troopers said.
The pursuit continued 25 miles to the Winchester exit where the car exited. He continued to lead two KSP cars down Winchester and up to Man ‘o War through busy intersections, at one point pulling over to the shoulder where two troopers appeared to pin him in only to have him speed of again.
A block away, a tire blew, ending the chase and Wright surrendered, according t the KSP.
He is charged with first-degree fleeing, irst-degree wanton endangerment, resisting arrest and second-degree criminal mischief.
He also was wanted on two out-of-state arrest warrants from Illinois, the KSP said.
