Lexington experienced two new record low temperatures over the weekend and into Monday. The city hit a low temperature of 35 degrees this morning (Monday, May 11th), tying the 1945 record of 35 degrees. This comes after a record-breaking Saturday morning low temperature of 29 degrees over the weekend on May 9th. That low broke the previous record of 31 degrees set in 1923 for the same day.
This week will continue to start with highs about 20 degrees below normal. We start dry, with rain showers and warmer temperatures by the end of the week.
