NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Nicholasville Police may have broken two different groups of car-burglary suspects.
According to the department’s Facebook page, during the last two nights, officers have arrested two different groups of three who possibly have been involved in thefts from vehicles “all over Nicholasville and Jessamine County.”
The groups include juveniles and adults and police are withholding the names while the investigations continue.
According to the Facebook post, three suspects were found in the South Brook area Sunday night and Monday morning. They were charged with receiving stolen property in connection with some of the thefts from vehicles, police said.
At about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers found three more suspects in the Longview area. They were also in possession of items that were “clearly not theirs,” police said, noting the three also have been charged with receiving stolen property.
“The investigation is still ongoing and we hope that additional charges will be placed as more evidence is possibly obtained,” police posted.
The arrests came after police warned residents Monday of the string on car breakins, including ones in the Orchard and Southbrook areas. And most of the thefts were from unlocked vehicles that had valuables inside.
