Out of school but these seniors still getting treats

Teachers ready to greet seniors/Powell County High Facebook

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – They are out of school and away from their teachers and friends. They may even miss the traditional graduation.

But teachers and staff at Powell County High School are trying to make senior year still a little special for the school’s graduating seniors.

Each Friday, they put together S.O.S — Support Out Seniors — to help make memories.

The event includes the necessary social distancing but still is special, with meals and other treats.

This week it was pizza, chips, drinks, and treats provided by the PCHS Youth Service Center, according to the high school’s Facebook page.

Blizzard treats were provided by Dairy Queen.
