WATCH: State health director gets emotional on nursing home issue


FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – As the headlines and news stories spiral across the country about the coronavirus pandemic racing through nursing homes and senior centers like a tragic fire, Kentucky officials are having to deal with their own crises and trying to head off others.

During his daily briefing Thursday, as he has done for several days, Gov. Andy Beshear discussed the issue at length.

And state health director Dr. Steven Stack became emotional when addressing an emergency relief at a Louisville center than involved emergency management and the National Guard and the work health care workers are doing on the front line.
