FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky confirmed 134 new coronavirus cases Thursday and recorded six deaths.
The new cases were spread across the state but included 62 in Jefferson County and 33 in Fayette County, Gov. Andy Beshear said. The new cases brought the state total to 1,452.
The six deaths, four of which were in Jefferson County and the other two were in Hopkins County, bring the state total to 79.
On the positive side, 426 of the total confirmed case involved hospitalization but 228 are hospitalized now. Of those, 166 were in ICU but only 105 are now, Beshear said.
More importantly, 395 people have recovered.
The governor also announced closure of the Natural Bridge and Cumberland Falls state parks Thursday because they were becoming gathering spots for groups.
