Shots fired into car? Owner tells police bullet holes were there when he bought it


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- When Lexington Police started investigating a call Tuesday night about shots fired into a car, the car’s driver told officers the bullet holes were there when he bought it.

Police say around 5:30 p.m. they received a call about shots fired on Trent Circle.

They found a car off Old Todds Road with bullet holes in it. Officers say the passenger inside ran away, but they took the driver to police headquarters for questioning.

It’s unclear if he’s facing charges.

Police say the driver told officers he bought the car with bullet holes already in it.
