Woman shot in car in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police say officers found a woman shot in the leg Thursday night in the 3900 block of Waterwood Terrace.

Police say they received a call about shots fired at 9:37 p.m.

Officers say when they arrived, they found a woman had been shot in the passenger seat of a car on Waterwood Terrace.

Lexington Police say both the victim and witness, the car’s driver, were uncooperative and wouldn’t give information about what they saw or why the shooting happened.

The woman is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
