We’ve seen partly cloudy skies for our Thursday after waking up to a trace of snowfall accumulation here in Lexington. Today is our one day break from the up and down roller coaster ride this weather pattern has provided with more snow showers expected to arrive tonight.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered snow showers, lows in the mid 20s.
Friday, expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered snow showers, highs will be in the mid 30s
The third system of three this week will be a small Canadian clipper system on Friday that could provide some quick hitting showers. Clipper systems like this usually tend to over-perform when it comes to model output therefore my current thoughts are that this is our best chance to see accumulating snowfall.
The good news out of all this is the weekend will be dry and sunny.
The bad news next week will start off with soaking rain and flooding will once again become a concern in Kentucky.
