GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Governor’s Safety and Health Award was presented on Wednesday to Adient US, LLC in Georgetown, for 1,348,674 hours worked without a lost-time injury by the 697 employees at that location.
“Congratulations to everyone at Adient US, LLC on reaching this goal,” said Gov. Andy Beshear. “Kentucky’s citizens are the Commonwealth’s greatest resource and they deserve a safe, healthy work environment.”
The Kentucky Labor Cabinet presents the Governors Safety and Health Award to highlight outstanding safety and health performance in Kentucky’s workplaces.
A business may qualify for the award if its employees achieve a required number of hours worked without experiencing a lost-time injury or illness. The required number of hours is dependent upon the number of employees.
“The Kentucky Labor Cabinet is proud to present this award to Adient US, LLC which has shown its dedication to safety by achieving this award. Being injury free is a goal every company should set,” said Secretary Larry L. Roberts. “We congratulate the people who work here and thank them for their commitment to safety.”
