LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Health officials say flu cases in Lexington have risen for yet another week.
The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department says the city now has 460 confirmed cases of the flu, an increase of 55 from last week.
Officials say there have already been four flu-related deaths, including a baby.
According to officials, the number of confirmed cases is just a fraction of the number of people who have the flu in Lexington.
They say about 77 percent of the confirmed cases did not have documentation of having received a flu shot.
Flu shots are available in the Public Health Clinic located at 650 Newtown Pike without an appointment. Its hours are Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
