We had a mix of sun and clouds today after a very sunny and mild weekend across the Bluegrass. Temperatures stayed in the 40s and 50s with very light winds out of the south.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies and showers developing, lows in the lower 40s.
Monday, expect scattered rain showers most of the day light to moderate at times. Temperatures will be about average will highs in the mid to upper 40s. Average high for this time of year in Lexington is 48 degrees.
A vigorous low pressure storm system moves toward the Ohio Valley from the southwest Sunday. The initial wave will bring a wave of scattered rain showers to the region. Monday won’t be a complete wash out; however expect rain showers for most of the day moving into Tuesday morning
Tuesday will be quiet but cloudy before a potential rain/snow system moves towards the Bluegrass Region on Wednesday and into Thursday. The current thought is this will start off as rain and quickly transition into snow showers with snow likely most of the day on Thursday. It’s worthy to note its still 4 days out and models are still evolving on this storm system so confidence in this forecast remains low.
