LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Health officials say Lexington’s fourth flu-related death has been confirmed.
The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department says the person was in their 30s and had underlying health issues.
Health officials continue to encourage seasonal flu shots as the best way to fight against the flu. They say the shot is especially important for senior adults, young children and anyone with other medical risks.
Flu shots are available in the Public Health Clinic located at 650 Newtown Pike without an appointment. Its hours are Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The cost varies based on insurance; call (859) 288-2483 for details.
