Police: teen steals car at gun point, 20-year-old caught driving it


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police say a 20-year-old was caught driving a stolen car early Sunday morning.

Police say a woman was injured when her car was stolen at gunpoint around 1 a.m. She told police the suspect is a teen and gave officers their name.

Around 4 a.m., officers got calls about a person possibly driving under the influence.

Police say 20-year-old Kudra Irakoze was driving the stolen car.

He is facing driving under the influence and marijuana charges.

The juvenile was not in the car with him, police said.
