CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man is in custody after deputies say he threatened to kill someone with a blunt object and then tried to run from authorities.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were sent to Morgan Branch around 7:00 a.m. on January 26 after a complaint about the threat.
After arriving, deputies found 40-year-old Gary Hasty, of Lexington, in the parking lot of a church. They say Hasty tried to run away, but deputies caught him after a short chase.
According to deputies, Hasty did not obey commands and they struggled with him briefly.
Hasty is charged with fleeing or evading police and menacing among other charges.
