LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is in custody after deputies say she cut a man over the weekend.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a call came in around 7:54 a.m. about a possible stabbing on Boone Avenue, 10 miles south of London.
After arriving, deputies say they found 43-year-old Pearlie Abner, of Lily, standing outside the home with two large knives in her hand. They say Abner dropped the weapons after they commanded her to.
Deputies say the victim told them he and Abner had been drinking when Abner “flipped out” and slashed his hand open with a knife that was under the couch. Deputies say the victim refused treatment.
Abner is charged with assault.
