KY man pleads guilty in child sex abuse case in another country

SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Kentucky man pleaded guilty Thursday to inappropriately touching two girls under the age of 12 while he was living out of the country in 2018.

According to the Department of Justice, 36-year-old Micky Rife, of Salyersville, took a plea deal.

In court, Rife admitted that between September 2012 and December 2018, he traveled and lived in Cambodia. He said during those periods he touched the two girls under their clothing and inside, or on, their genital areas on more than one occasion.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 7, 2020.
