JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man was shot Wednesday night at a Jessamine County home, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies say it happened just before 8 p.m. on Mackey Pike.
When they arrived, they say they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound.
He was taken to a Lexington hospital in critical condition.
A suspect, the victim’s mother, told police she and her son had been arguing, which led to the shooting.
Police say it does not appear drugs or alcohol played a factor.
They say the victim’s father was also at the home at the time of the shooting.
The mother is currently being held for questioning.
