Four people arrested in deadly Laurel County shooting


LAUREL CO., Ky. (WTVQ)-Four people are in police custody following shooting at a home in Laurel County that happened early Sunday morning, according to the Sheriff.

Authorities say Michael Bailey, 28, died after he was shot in the chest with a pistol.

Police arrested four people, in connection with the shooting.

Douglas Bailey, 44, is charged with first degree assault, domestic violence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Crystal Johnson, 38 and James Hart, 46, are charged with possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

Dewain Bailey, 50 is charged with public intoxication, possession of controlled substances and disorderly conduct.

The sheriff’s department says Dewain Bailey also admitted taking meth prior to the shooting complaint.

The investigation is ongoing. More charges are expected.
