Henderson Police say Jacob Moore, 25, of Eddyville, was believed to be intoxicated and hallucinating while operating a silver Ford F-series pickup truck.

According to police, Moore fled when officers attempted to stop him, leading them on an erratic chase with the assistance of Kentucky State Police that ended after it became too dangerous.

Henderson Police later discovered Moore’s Ford truck parked at a Dollar General Store in Henderson.

Around 11:15 a.m., Moore was spotted by authorities in a stolen tan Chevy Silverado.

Troopers and deputies attempted to stop him, but Moore fled again leading authorities on a chase that ended when Moore lost control of the vehicle, crashing near Henderson Methodist Hospital.

Police say Moore then attempted to flee by ramming the stolen truck into a trooper’s cruiser that was blocking him in.

They say Moore then fled the truck on foot prompting authorities to use a taser after he did not comply with their commands.

Moore was then arrested and taken to Henderson Methodist Hospital.

He now faces a list of charges including, driving under the influence, reckless driving, and failure to wear a seat belt.
