LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s the last few days for the Lexington’s popular Food for Fines program.
The LEXPARK’S Food for Fines Holiday Food Drive ends Friday.
The program allows people to bring in ten cans of food to get $15 off any LEXPARK or Lexington Police parking ticket, including past due tickets. There is no limit on the number of cans customers with multiple citations may bring in.
Residents can check if they have a ticket by entering a license plate on the ‘pay a citation’ page on the LEXPARK website.
All donations will be donated to God’s Pantry Food Bank. Officials suggest canned vegetables, canned meat, beans and peanut butter.
Expired, damaged or opened food donations will not be accepted.
