LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man is giving back to kids in need once again this holiday season through his non-profit “Believing In Forever Incorporated,” an organization dedicated to inspiring and encouraging youth advancement through art, leadership, education and community service.
Founder Devine Carama has been traveling around the state collecting coats for children in need.
Carama says 2,250 coats have been collected.
He says this is what faith and support look like.
“The beautiful thing about this year has just been the collaboration, which is what God told me when I prayed this year,” Carama says. “He told me some other things but for the last couple of years sacrifice has been a word he kept telling me whenever I prayed but this year it was collaboration and patience.”
He says the organization will need volunteers for the rest of the week to bag up orders and deliver.
He also posted on facebook that the organization is still a few hundred coats shy of it goal, so donations are still welcome.
