LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man with a long criminal history was sentenced to 25-years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine and illegally carrying a gun, according to prosecutors.
41-year old Lawrence Westbrook III, pleaded guilty, according to court records.
Lexington Police pulled Westbrook over in June 2018 and found 159 grams of meth and a loaded gun, according to prosecutors.
After bonding out of jail, he was arrested again in August of that year with meth, a stolen gun and $11,000 in cash, according to court records.
Westbrook had prior felony convictions. He was convicted of assaulting someone with a gun in 2001 and being a convicted felon with a gun in 2015, according to court records.
