LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Santa’s not the only one who’s busy during the holiday season. This is a peak time for the U.S. Postal Service in Lexington.
It’s expecting to deliver about 13,000,000,000 cards, letters and packages during the holiday season so it’s all hands on deck as over 300 postal workers have been hired to help keep up with demand.
But even with the holiday rush, Plant Manager Doug Caswell says people shouldn’t be worried about their packages arriving on time.
USPS says its busiest week of the year is December 16-22.
