Police: Man confesses to robbing two banks and trying to rob a third

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Paris Police arrested a man Wednesday who they say confessed to robbing two banks in Bourbon County and trying to rob another in Georgetown on the same day.

The suspect’s name wasn’t released.

Investigators say the man tried to rob the Commonwealth Credit Union on Marketplace Drive in Georgetown late Wednesday morning, but didn’t get away with any money.

Paris Police say the same man robbed the Kentucky Bank and Bluegrass Federal Savings and Loan in Bourbon County.
