WHAT TO EXPECT
Tonight, increasing cloud cover for tonight with lows in the mid 30s.
Sunday anticipate mostly cloudy sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 50s and a breezy south wind gusting to 25 MPH. The average high for this time of year in Lexington is 47 degrees.
Rain showers are expected to develop late Sunday night into Monday with widespread showers all day Monday. Fridge cold air moves in behind the showers starting Wednesday. An area of low pressure appears to give hope to snow enthusiast in Kentucky. It does appear a small swath of snow will develop on the backside of the rain showers and could provide Kentucky with potential snowfall. It’s still too early to put numbers on this event however larger snow accumulations if any will be focus to the hills and mountains of eastern Kentucky especially the further north and east you travel.
