LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A University of Kentucky student says they were raped in a dorm room by someone they know, according to UK Police.
The reported victim says it happened between 2:00 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. on December 3, according to investigators.
More than a half-dozen rapes or sexual assaults have been reported on campus this semester, according to crime statistics.
Police say they encourage students who have been a victim of violence, or would like to be a part of UK’s effort to end violence, to contact the Violence Intervention and Prevention Center for confidential services, support and referrals at (859) 257-3574.
